Emily and Robert’s story began in high school math class. A simple friendship soon blossomed into love, and after ten years together, their bond only grew stronger. Their very first date was a cozy movie night; one that set the stage for a lifetime of shared memories.
The proposal was intimate and heartfelt. Emily came home expecting to get ready for a Christmas party. Instead, she opened the door to rose petals scattered across the floor. At the center, Robert stood waiting on one knee, surrounded by a heart made of petals. It was a beautiful beginning to their next chapter.
To tie back to their proposal story, we had rose petals going down the aisle.
Emily and Robert envisioned a wedding that was romantic, emotional, and fun. The timeless Whitehurst Gallery felt like the perfect setting. With its elegant charm, the venue created a breathtaking backdrop for both their vows and their celebration.
As their Tampa Elopement Planner, we loved seeing how this venue highlighted their love story. They had a modern, black-tie wedding at a historical replica venue (Whitehurst Gallery is a replica of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C.).
From the ceremony space to the reception dinner at Maggiano’s Little Italy, every detail reflected their desire for intimacy and joy.
Emily walked down the aisle to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Kacey Musgraves. Robert waited for her with emotion in his eyes, and the moment she saw him and the venue filled with loved ones, she knew their day was everything she had dreamed of.
They exchanged deeply personal vows, making their ceremony even more meaningful. They had a memory table for their loved ones who had passed.
Shortly after the ceremony they had their cake cutting and champagne toast. Followed by pictures with all their loved ones in attendance. Later, they shared their first dance to “Life With You” by Kelsey Hart, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends.
Emily’s gown from David’s Bridal paired beautifully with Robert’s suit from Men’s Wearhouse, creating a timeless look that fit the setting.
