When Ariana and Jermaine said “I do” on the golden shores of Pass-A-Grille Beach on November 2, 2024, it was the perfect reflection of their five-year love story: romantic, peaceful and undeniably meaningful. Surrounded by 40 of their closest family and friends, the couple embraced their whimsical wedding vision with soft baby blues, creamy florals and the calming sounds of a live harpist. Their day was not just a wedding — it was an intimate experience filled with intention, laughter and love.
Ariana and Jermaine’s story began with a game — literally. While Jermaine was stationed over a thousand miles away in Kansas with the Army, the two kept in touch through mutual friends and casual rounds of iMessage games. “It only took one actual conversation for us to realize we were interested in each other,” Ariana shared. Jermaine would drive to Florida every chance he got, and before long, the couple was inseparable.
Now, after nearly five years together, Ariana and Jermaine are celebrating their first anniversary as a married couple this November. And yes — donuts played a role in their journey.
Instead of a fancy dinner, their first official date was at Krispy Kreme, where they spent the evening trying to decide which dozen donuts to order. That playful, laid-back energy has remained a theme in their relationship — so much so that Jermaine even mentioned their donut date in his wedding vows. “We really love Krispy Kreme,” Ariana laughs.
Jermaine’s proposal took place during their anniversary trip to Jamaica. After dropping hints about wanting a photo shoot, Jermaine quickly made a plan when a resort photographer became available — giving Ariana less than 30 minutes to get ready. She suspected something was happening, especially when she spotted the ring box in his pocket. “I tried to hold back tears,” she said. “It was the best trip ever.”
When it came time to plan their wedding, the beach was the obvious choice. After exploring different coastal spots, Pass-A-Grille stole their hearts with its beauty and relaxed vibe. “We both really love the beach,” Ariana shared. “We immediately knew it was the one.”
With the expert guidance from Melanie with Chantilly Chic Celebrations planning was a breeze — even when two hurricanes rolled through the region just before the wedding. “We were always informed, and our concerns were acknowledged,” Ariana said.
The wedding ceremony, with 40 guests in attendance, took place under a stunning hexagon arch with two floral swags arranged by Wonderland Florist. The floral palette of blue hydrangeas, baby’s breath and white roses created a dreamy, coastal feel that paired perfectly with the soft baby blue color scheme and water.
Guests were treated to live music by Kristen the Harpist, whose elegant renditions of “All of the Lights” by Kanye West for Jermaine’s processional with his mom and “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey for Ariana’s processional with her parents created an unforgettable atmosphere. Kristen also played “Just the Two of Us” by Grover Washington Jr. for their first dance and “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran for their cake cutting. Having a harpist on the beach performing these beautiful songs was absolute perfection for their wedding experience.
One of the couple’s most cherished moments came during the ring blessing. “Watching every single guest bless our rings before we exchanged them was so meaningful,” they said. “It made the ceremony even more personal.”
Ariana looked stunning in her gown from Nikki’s Glitz and Glam Boutique, while Jermaine was effortlessly dapper in a tailored suit from Men’s Wearhouse.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests headed to The Vista Rooftop Bar at the Residence Inn in Tierra Verde. With sunset views over the water and live music filling the air, it was the perfect setting for a joyful evening of dinner and dancing.
When asked what advice they’d give to other couples thinking about eloping, Ariana and Jermaine were quick to encourage it. “JUST DO IT!” they said. “It was such a special day to share with our immediate family. Everyone at Chantilly Chic Celebrations did such a wonderful job making our elopement feel personal, stress-free, and unforgettable.”
